Ramp4x4 editorial methodology
How Archline Labs selects sources, separates evidence from product claims, discloses conflicts, uses software assistance, and corrects its Norwegian 4x4 content.

Editorial scope
Archline Labs publishes practical educational material about the Norwegian 4x4 workout, heart-rate-based interval execution, VO2 max training, and how Ramp4x4 implements those concepts. The pages are educational and do not provide individual medical advice.
Source hierarchy
- Primary research. Peer-reviewed trials and original research records, preferably linked through PubMed, DOI, or the publishing journal.
- Authoritative institutional guidance. Universities, government health organizations, platform documentation, and standards bodies.
- Systematic reviews and expert consensus. Used to understand how an individual trial fits the wider evidence.
- Secondary reporting. Used for context only when stronger sources are not available.
Claim standards
Study outcomes are described with the population, duration, and important limitations. Percent changes from a study are not presented as a promise to an individual user. Consumer-device measurements are described as estimates when they are not clinical measurements. If evidence is uncertain or populations differ materially, the page says so.
Product information and commercial interest
Archline Labs LLC develops and sells optional Premium access to Ramp4x4. Product pages and comparisons therefore have a direct commercial interest. Feature and pricing claims are checked against the current app and App Store configuration. Comparisons should identify when a free or competing alternative is sufficient, not merely argue that Ramp4x4 is always the best choice.
Review and updating
Pages show their publication and modification dates. Material product changes, corrected factual claims, or meaningful research updates trigger a new modification date. Source lists are intended to link directly to the strongest accessible record of each cited study.
Unless a page explicitly names a credentialed reviewer, it has not been represented as clinician-reviewed. Archline Labs does not invent medical credentials or imply endorsement by researchers, universities, Apple, or other organizations.
Software and AI assistance
Archline Labs may use software and AI-assisted tools for research organization, drafting, editing, coding, and quality checks. Source selection, factual claims, commercial disclosures, and final publication decisions remain the responsibility of Archline Labs. Automated output is not treated as evidence.
Corrections
Readers can report a factual error, broken source, outdated product detail, or unclear disclosure by emailing [email protected]. Substantive corrections are made in the page itself and reflected in its modification date.
Original Ramp4x4 data
Archline Labs may publish aggregated workout benchmarks in the future. Any such report should disclose its sample size, date range, inclusion criteria, missing-data handling, privacy safeguards, and limitations. Small or self-selected samples will be labeled clearly and will not be presented as population-wide findings.
